This community is my 50% American and 50% Brazilian community. I love both nationalities but i would have to say, Brazil is definitely better at soccer than the USA is. Sorry America.
ReplyDeleteThe American Horror Story fan base is another community i am a part of. some people may think that the show is creepy or scary, but that is an understatement. In some episodes and seasons, it is a little terrifying. But i enjoy the show because of its originality and some humor. A lot of people can relate to the characters. Such as Misty who is free spirited and chill, or pepper who is in an asylum and kills people ? Maybe not but Bette and Dot are two sisters who are completely opposite. And then there is Kit, who is also in the asylum for " murdering " his wife. These are some of my favorite characters throughout the American Horror Story seasons.
This community i am a part of, is the music community/ music fan base. Some of my favorite music artists and their albums are, The Vamps, who is from Britain, Magic who is a reggae and soca type vibe. Trxye, or from his real name Troye Sivan, is a youtuber from Australia. Last but not least, there is Tinashe. Im a fan of all of these people, and many more because of the way their music makes me feel. They are just amazing artists waiting for their big break.
This last community is the social community. I am very " social ". By social i mean that i spend all day scrolling up and down with my thumb. While other people play around outside and play sports, im inside texting, going through tumblr, twitter and instagram.

My drawing represents my community which is the Rumney Marsh Academy (RMA). It could also be written as Respect, Motivation, Achievement which is also (RMA). I am part of the RMA community which is probably the best middle school in the city. This means I am the student. I am in the class 8U and in the past, I have been in 6U & 7U which are all honors classes. I enjoy every hour at the RMA learning. The Rumney Marsh Academy is a very clean school and it is also a very organized school for everything. It has great teachers that can help you learn about anything if you don't fool around. A community is basically a group of people who are similar in some ways. I am happy to be a part of the Rumney Marsh for the last three years because of how clean,smart, and organized it is. The activity in the school is great too. Ive always wanted to go to RMA since elementary school and I am proud to be a part of it right now. I know that this school will prepare me for the high school as long as you listen to your teachers and not fool around.

I wrote this poem because for #writemycommunity because my community is American Horror story fans (AHS). About each verse is based on a season of ahs. Verse one was about season 1 and the theme was murder house. Verse 2 was just random. Verse 3 was about season 2 and the theme was asylum. Verse 4 was season 3 and the theme was coven/witches and voodoo. Verse 4 was about season 4 (current season) and the theme is freakshow. I like the show because it's different and it's unique and as you noticed each season has a different theme.

Revere Beach is a big part of the Revere community. It was the first public beach in America. This beach is seen by many people each day. The Revere community uses the beach for many things from tanning to walking along the beach with your dog. If Revere wasn’t to have Revere Beach than the community wouldn’t be the community it is today.
City Hall-
City Hall is also a big part of the Revere community. City Hall is the center point of our city. Mayor Dan Rizzo and other city employees work at city hall. City Hall is used by all members of the City for many things like paying your water bill. City Hall is also where city gatherings and meetings occur such as city council meetings. If Revere wasn’t to have city hall the Revere community would be different.
Churches in Revere (IC and St. Anthony’s)-
There are many churches in the community of Revere. Some of these include IC also know as Immaculate Conception and St. Anthony’s. Both of these churches are catholic churches in Revere. The main Catholic Church in Revere is St. Anthony’s. St. Anthony’s church was built in the 1920’s and has been in Revere since. It is the oldest church in Revere and helps make Revere the community is today. Churches are a big part of the Revere community and Revere wouldn’t be the same without them.

ReplyDeleteRMA (Rumney Marsh Academy)-
Rumney Marsh Academy (RMA) isn’t a huge part if the Revere community but it is a big part of my community. RMA is the school I have attended since the 6th grade until this day. RMA is only about 6 or 7 years and is a wonderful school. Most of my friends attend RMA. Most of my friends share similarities like playing sports. All of my friends and I make our own community which makes RMA a big part and community of my life.
Revere Fire & Police Department-
Revere Fire and Police Department are a big part of the Revere community. Both the Fire and Police Department keep our community safe. The Fire and Police department keeps our city safe from fires, thieves, danger, and out of control people. They protect our community from anything that is dangerous and could harm our community. If the Revere Community wasn’t to have such a great fire & police department we wouldn’t be the community we are today.
Revere Public Library-
The Revere Public Library is a part of the Revere Community. Many people use the Library each day to read, research, or just go to have a quiet place to do things. The library allows the people of Revere to gain knowledge and enjoy reading. If the Revere Community didn’t have a public library the people of Revere wouldn’t be the people they are today so the Revere community wouldn’t be the community it is today.
Social Media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Vine)-
Social Media is a big part of my personal community. I use Social Media everyday just like my friends. Since all my friends use Social Media we have a community together. On Social Media we talk to each other over our similarities and likes. Since I use Social Media just like almost everyone else in the world it is a big part of my personal community.
Revere Recreation Center (The Rec)-
Revere Recreation Center is a big part of the Revere Community. The Revere Recreation hosts many activities throughout the city for kids and adults to have a good time. During the summer the Revere Recreation has “Staff” at each park in Revere to entertain the kids. Also they have free activities throughout the year and holiday seasons. The Recreation center makes the city have a fun and exciting time without a cost. If the city was to not have the Recreation Center than Revere wouldn’t be the community it is today.
Sports-
Sports play a huge role in my personal community. I play sports all year round. I play softball, basketball, and lacrosse and love every one of them. I have friends throughout each sport I play and each team I’m on from travel softball or basketball to the Recreation Girls Basketball on Saturday mornings or Revere Youth Lacrosse on Sunday mornings has their own community. If I didn’t play the sports I do my personal community and sports teams communities would be different.

My communities that I chose are most important to me. The very first ones are sports. The sports that I play are soccer and lacrosse. I’m not the best soccer player ever, but I try my hardest. I work very hard to become a great soccer player. It’s important to me because it allows me to grow as a soccer player. The same thing apply for lacrosse. I’m not the best lacrosse player ever, but I’m adapting the concept of the sport. Lacrosse is important to me because it’s a new sport for girls in revere. There wasn’t a girl’s lacrosse team in revere before, but last year they made one. It helps us girls show that we can do anything that guys can do. Plus, we play better than the boys team does! The very last part is American Horror Story! This is my all-time favorite TV show. It’s very important me because it has a lesson that we may not be normal, but you cant classify us as different. All these communities allow me to build friendships with other people. These are my favorite communities that are important to me!

Revere as a whole community is very open to all races which makes Revere Beach the starting point of the open community. The Rumney Marsh Academy is one of the many schools in my community. The community of Revere looks at education as being very important. In Revere, we are in the process of building a brand new school for better education. Revere feels strongly about education and only wants their students to be educated the best they can be. This is an important trait of my community’s because it shows how much Revere cares about how the children are educated and only want the absolute best for them.

Revere City Hall is an important part of my community. This is the center of the Revere community where everything that happens in the city is organized. City Hall makes Revere an organized city and keeps everything in line. Because of this, the community of Revere is a very well organized city and will continue to succeed because of the organization at City Hall. The Mayor’s office in located in City Hall and the mayor runs the city. Having the most important person in the city’s office located in this building shows how big of an impact it has on the community of Revere.

St. Anthony’s Church is just one of many places to gather for various religions in Revere. The places of religious gatherings throughout Revere are important because it is allowing people to go worship what they believe in. This shows that Revere is very open to whatever religions that people believe in. This gives people chances to freely express who they are and what they are proud to believe in.

The Revere Police and Fire Stations are both very important to the Revere Community. They are both very important in the community because it gives the city protection and keeps it safe. They can be contacted quickly which is helpful for when there is an emergency and the police or fire fighters need to be at scene immediately. The police men/women and firefighters work hard every day to keep the city of Revere safe. The city of Revere is and will continue to be a safe community thanks to the Police and Fire stations and the workers that work for them.
Wonderland Station:
Wonderland Station is a very important source of transportation in the city of Revere. It is the first stop on the Blue Line. Many people use the T every day. This way of transportation can help people get to work, kids get to school, help people earn money as working for the train station, etc. This is a great help to the citizens of the community because it can be the way they get around and it is needed in their everyday lives. The Blue Line can take people places they need to be in a relatively short amount of time which is helpful for people in a rush. This train station is a great source of transportation for the community of Revere.
Revere Public Library:
The Revere Public Library is an important building in the community of Revere. Opening in 1880, this library has been up and running for about 134 years. This is an important part of the Revere community because it helps people of all ages expand their knowledge. A community is a group of people that live in a small are and have similar interest. In Massachusetts there’s a city called Revere. In Revere there are many different kind of communities. To be in a community is important because it can keep you happy, calm, and happy. There are communities like music groups, sport groups, boxing groups, and more. I’m part of the soccer community and the music community.
ReplyDeleteBeing in the soccer community fun, it keeps me active, it keeps me from being addicted to my phone. I love soccer it’s something that is special for me, when they made a soccer team and I signed up. When I first started I didn't know anyone on the team, I was the new girl. But even though they didn't make fun of me when I fell or even when I didn't know what to do. They took me in, they gave me friendship. The soccer community is supportive and an anti bullying community.
Being in the music community is important to me because it something that keeps me calm, relaxed. Tm not afraid to sing around everything. I’m not afraid to sing around the people in the music community. I trust the people in the music community. I know they wouldn't make fun of me if I mess up, they wouldn't just support me to try and try till I get it
Its important to be in an community because you can make friends with similar interest. The communities I am in are filled with talented be people that are caring and helpful. So if you’re just sitting doing nothing get off you bum and get involved in your community.

In my opinion, a community is a group of people that share common interests with each other. Not only that but they almost interact in some sort of way (gatherings). For me, I am not a part of many communities. The communities that I am a part of are the I.C.C ( Immaculate Conception Church ), the Hispanic/Latino community, the RPS and the RMA community. I also consider my family a community and the most important community.
ReplyDeleteThe communities I am a part of mean a lot to me. My family is very supportive and they are always there for me when I need them. The RPS and RMA communities both are full of teachers that have guided me through the years and have helped me become a better person. They have also guided me in achieving my academic goals. These communities also hold special events for students such as the social and other fun activities The I.C.C has taught me to how to be kind to everyone, even if they are not kind to me. Not only that but this community is a very fun community full of very friendly and lively people.
I feel passionate and proud to be a part of the communities that I am a part of. They might not be the largest communities and they maybe similar to other communities but are special to me and mean a lot to me. As I have said before these communities are very supportive. They are kind to everyone and they want people to be a part of their community. All of these communities inspire me and motivate me to reach my goals and make new goals for myself. ReplyDeleteThe NBA/ Basketball is part of my community because basketball is a sport that i love and that i have a wonderful passion for. And on the other hand the NBA is a league that i love to watch and i am a fan of the sport and league. This is why the NBA/Basketball is a part of my community.
The Rumney Marsh academy is a part of my community because it is like a job for me as a student. Its is a job that i would always have to do good on. This school is a part of my community also because its what i do for about 180 school days a year.
The Stay In Shape club is a part of my community because it is a club i love to attend. This club introduces me to new people which become new friends. Also in this club i also get to play the sports i have a passion for. That is why Stay In Shape is a part of my community.
Revere is a huge part of my community because it is a part of my hometown. I have lived here in revere for about 8 years and this is part of my community also because this shows that revere is a huge part of my life etc.
The honors program is another part of my community because i have been in the honors program since the beginning of 6th grade and this is a part of my community because this means the world to me and also because this whole program can rely on my future.
The cristiano ronaldo fan club is also a part of my community because since i first started playing soccer he was always my idol. he is one of the best soccer players in the world. This fan club means the world to me because one day i could some day be like him. And conquer the journey he has passed on to people like me.

ReplyDeleteMy community contains The Revere Public beach, the first public beach ever made in America.It is located in Revere Massachusetts. This place is a very popular place that gets crowded each year during the summer. People go here to seek fun, excitement and pleasure. Professional sand sculptures come from all around the world to make sand sculptures that are enjoyed by many people. With all the fun activities, our community is brought here to celebrate and have a good time. Fireworks, movies, carnivals, concerts and many more activities are also held here for the community. This place was and forever will be our communities treasure.
I am apart of many communities. I am apart of a select hockey team that is from Wilmington. They are called the North Shore Shamrocks. Also i am apart of a town hockey team called Everett/Revere. I am a part of the NHL fan community because i usually watch the NHL every night for 3 hours. I also am a citizen in Revere and is home to the First public beach in America. I go to Rumney Marsh Academy, and I'm in 8th grade. I also am apart of the restaurant/food community because my family owns many restaurants and I eat many different types of foods in the restaurants.

ReplyDeleteIn my community we attend the Rumney Marsh Academy where we try our hardest everyday to give respect, gain achievements, and give or obtain motivation. I myself have gotten many achievements such as straight a's multiple times, getting better at basketball, staying in honors from 6th grade to 8th, and getting an advanced score on the math MCAS.
Also in my community we like to make goals and succeed in getting them whether it’s making a team tryout, raising a certain amount of money, or even getting honor roll. My goal is to get to Pre-ap before I got to high school and make the JV team for basketball on freshman year of high school.
Although my community likes to focus on academics a lot we also have hobbies and interests outside of school. My community loves to play and watch basketball. We would have competitions against each other as classmates to see who the best in the class which I would succeed in most of the time. Also a fellow classmate and I argue about who get to be called Kyrie Irving- NBA point guard on the Cleveland Cavaliers who was drafted in 2011 as the first overall draft pick- and I would never give up losing the argument till he admitted it which would always happen sometimes we settled it through a 1 on 1. Something I also love and am a part of is chatting about the latest highlights, stats, and games of the NBA. This was something that interested my community greatly.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion a community is a group of people with a lot of similarities, like for example people with the same goals, and same type personality. Why I say this is because if two people don’t have anything in common they are most likely not going to get a long, and a community is based off of friendship. Similarities in a community do not include same race, religion, or background it’s how people respect each other’s beliefs and culture. When I hear the word “community” I automatically think friendship, motivation, safety, creativity, modesty, respect and most importantly love. A community should always motivate each other to do better, have allegiance to their community, respect each other’s feelings, love each other, try not so hard to stand out from one another because it can cause conflict, and use creativity to come up with ways to end community struggles and doubt.
When I think of the community I am a part of I think of the city I live in. I think of my city because it’s a group of people who share some of similarities. My community is not the ideal community that I would like to live in but we have a lot of things in common that flourishes our community. The people in my community does not have a lot in common because for one we all have different personalities and different way of living. Since people have different personalities we all have different styles and not all people are modest, kind, and mature, and that causes problems. It causes problems because who are modest mature kind don’t approve with immodest, immature, and unkind people. Also since people have different ways of living they have different jobs and incomes which creates social classes that differs people. One thing that we do have in common is we are creative, we are always trying to come up with new ways of raising money for our community and make our lives easier. My community does not respect each other as much as I would like them to because of bad influences but I greatly acknowledge the people who do respect in my community. My community is not the safest place in the world but I think law enforcers really do dedicate their lives, and risk their lives trying to make my community safer

My community is not the best and always has room for improvement. If my community could have a chance to improve there is a lot I think my community could improve in because my community has a lot of flaws. I would like my community to stop judging people by their financial status. Financial status’s causes differences in a community which is not pleasant in a community. There is a lot of criticism on people’s social classes. Criticism is one of the things that causes embarrassment. I honestly don’t like social classes because of that reason and that’s why I think that social classes should eliminated once and for all. I would want everyone to have a job and have the same income so no one would be put in different classes to make fun of. I would also prefer more safety in my community so there wouldn’t be many deaths, overdose, and illnesses. I would prefer if smoking wasn’t allowed in my community because smoking can cause a lot of illnesses. I would also prefer if my community could use bikes instead of cars because for one they keep us healthier and prevent deaths. I also prefer if people would stop using technology to improve phones, cars, and TVs and start using technology to keep our community safer. I would also want parents to teach their kids to be more modest because I think everyone, especially girls, should grow up to know that they should respect their bodies and try not to be revealing so everyone respects you. One way that modesty can grow is to eliminate different types of music that kids listen to these days that sends a bad message to kids. The last thing that I would improve is the respect in community. Many people don’t respect in community especially kids and men and I think that should 100% percent change because everyone deserves to respected and treated right.
ReplyDeleteI myself do a lot of things to make my community better. One thing that I do to make my community better is to respect the people around. I don’t like to be that person that treats everyone with disrespect. I always try to respect my family and make them feel loved and appreciated because they deserve to because they are the one who works for me to give me food, an education, and safety. I am always try to respect my teachers because they are always devoting their time to give me and education. Another person that I respect is myself. When you learn to respect yourself people are more likely to respect you. I also try to teach minors to respect, to be grateful and to be more modest so they can grow up to be wise. Another way I try to help my community to better is to keep the environment better for everyone. I try not to litter and whenever I see someone smoking I try to tell them in the kindest way possible to stop. I’m always trying to make a difference in the world.
In conclusion my community is not the best and we do have some things to improve but at the end of the day the most important thing that matters is that people at least are trying to improve even if it doesn’t work out as planned. I’m always trying to make my community better in any ways possible.
